Aquatic Photo Contest

Overview: The TOKAC Photo contest is a great way to gain additional public recognition for your hobby and to show off your tanks and critters. All things aquatic may be submitted. The basic intent is to offer another way to have FUN with aquatics. The contest will be open to all forum members. In addition, club members may also submit winning photographs for the Writers and Photographers Award program (WPAP). The main contest will be a monthly event with anonymous entries. Other contests might be annouced periodically. All contests will use the same rules unless specific rules are mentioned. Entrants will be expected to honor the spirit of the contest and contest rules. The rules may change without prior notice, but changes will be announced prior to the next contest if at all possible.  

Rules: Remember to keep the spirit of these rules in mind and to have fun. We will resize a copy of your entry for display purposes only. We will not edit or change the original entry. 

1. Forum members may submit one entry per month. Winning photos may not be resubmitted. Non-winning photos may be resubmitted.
2. Your original artwork and photographs may be submitted for any month. If the month does not appear in the email, the current month will be assumed. The deadline for submitting entries is the 15th of each month.  
3. Entries will be anonymous and material submitted should not contain any member identifying data as part of the image.
4. The email should contain both your real name and forum screen name, the month/year of your entry, species name, and a caption.
5. Members who win twice within the same calendar year may not enter the contest again until the next calendar year.
6. Inquiries about photographs and entrants during the contest period MUST be sent to the contest manager. DO NOT make these comments on the forum. Any comment that might disclose the identity of the entrants will be removed and subject the entrant to disqualification.

Voting:  Forum members vote via a poll during the last two weeks of each contest month. In the case of a tie, a new poll will be announced as a tie-breaker. The winning photograph will be announced during the first week of the month following the contest. 

Prizes: When available, prizes may be award The availability and choice of prizes will be announced for each contest. Prizes and their availabilty will depend on promotional support from our sponsors for the Photo Contest.

Dislcaimer: The contestant grants TOKAC nonexclusive and unlimited rights to use submitted photographs or artwork as part of any TOKAC promotional materials. All materials displayed on the TOKAC website shall remain the intellectual property of the contestant and cannot be reproduced by entities other than the contestant or TOKAC without permission.

The contestant certifies that all photographs or artwork submitted are the sole property of the contestant and not under exclusive license to any other person or organization. The TOKAC will not be held responsible for pirated, plagiarized, or counterfeit material. The contest manager will remove any material of this nature if discoverd by us or at the request of the owner
