Description: A description of the item to be auctioned

Scientific Name: The scientific name of the item to be auctioned

Please label each lot to be auctioned with the

Seller ID, Bag number, and a description of the item.  All items to be auctioned must be put on a seller's form even if they are a donation or a program item.

 Along with these guidelines, we ask that all members pay particular attention to how you label your items. In addition to the required Seller ID (must be registered in the auction database), Bag number, and description, put as much information on the labels as possible. This will allow buyers to get a glimpse of what you are offering without having to ask so many questions. Put your full name or at least your first name on the bag. This helps the buyer remember who sold the item that the buyer purchased.

Hints:
-Download a copy of the Seller's form and keep it handy.
-Fill out your seller's form PRIOR to the meeting, if possible.
-Check with the auction handler to ensure that your Seller ID is registered.
-Submit your Seller Form to the auction handler PRIOR to the start of the auction.

Example BASIC label:

EMN01...................................HAP
Scientific: Ceratophyllum Demersum
Common: Hornwort
Low to moderate light floating plant.
Requires little to no maintenance.
Good nutrient sump.
Seller = Eamon

EMN = My Seller ID.
01 = The Bag number
HAP = The auction code (See the guidelines for the complete list)
Use the scientific name whenever possible. Most items can be found online. When in doubt, ask other members or BAP and HAP folks. These names change quite often, but we will try our best to identify your items.
